How does the DRONEMask work?

Connect your smartphone to the controller with a longer cable (included in DroneMask 2), place your smarthphone in the lid, put on any application that you like (e.g. DJI Fly), close the lid and put your DroneMask on. It is that simple to enjoy flying your camera drone in FPV.

What is the difference between DroneMask 2 and DroneMask

The DroneMask 2 has some extra features that are not in the original DroneMask.

  1. The DroneMask 2 has access holes in the mask to easily interact with the screen. These holes are covered with removable neoprene flaps to keep the light out.
  2. All cables needed for drones with USB-C or Micro USB connection to the controller are included in DroneMask 2.
  3. The DroneMask 2 is gray, making it heat up less in sunlight compared to the original black DroneMask.

What Cable Should I use with my drone?

DroneMask 2 comes with all cables included.

Which phones are the DroneMask compatible with?

The DroneMask is compatible with most phones that are not wider than 78,1 mm and no longer than 170 mm. This includes, but are not limited to, all models of iPhone, Samsung S6, S7, S8 and S8 edge. However, some phones has a button on the side, that will interfere with our mount (like Sony Xperia and some models of HTC).

The DroneMask works with Samsung Galaxy S21.

Does it fit glasses?

Yes it does!

The DroneMask does fit well with glasses if they have single-vision lenses, but it does not work well with progressive lenses. Progressives offer multiple prescription strengths within one lens, whereas single-vision lenses feature only one prescription strength.

What’s in the box?

1 DroneMask, 1 linen bag to carry the DroneMask with you, and 1 cloth to clean the lens or your phone with. The DroneMask 2 also comes with 1 USB-C to USB-C cable, 1 USB-C to lightning cable and 1 microUSB to USB-C adapter.

What is the difference from VR?

DroneMask allows you to use the whole screen for a 2D cinematic experience. In order for other VR goggles to work, the screen on the smartphone has to be split down the middle when showing the drone footage - one screen for each eye. This results in the need for special apps and low resolution flying experience. DroneMask uses a different optical solution, which means that we don't split the screen, have amazing screen resolution and work with all mobile apps.

Isn't this just another version of the cardboard headset I can buy for $9?

No - our lens system is unique in the way it is not splitting the image of the application on your smartphone. This mean you can use all the normal apps (DJI Fly and other camera drone apps, AR-apps, but also high-definition movies, games and more). the DroneMask also has around 4 times the resolution of conventional stereoscopic headsets.

What is the resolution?

Due to our unique lens technology you will have 4 times the resolution as with conventional VR headsets. This is because the lenses allows you to utilize the entire screen, instead of splitting the image in two. As our product has an adjustable mount to fit different smartphones, the resolution will depend on which smartphone you have.

What EARPHONES can I use?

Whichever you prefer!

You can use both wired and wireless headphones. If you used a wired headset, the cord should go through the zippers.

What is the differEnce between MagiMask and DroneMask?

The DroneMask is simply the rebranded version of the MagiMask. Both products are sold by our company. There is no difference in the products except from the name and logo.

Which drones does the DroneMask fit with?

The DroneMask fits with all popular camera drones: Dji Mini 1/2/3; DJI Air 2S/ Air 2/ Air; DJI Mavic 3/ Mavic Air 2/ Mavic 2/ Mavic 2/3 Pro/ Mavic mini 1/2/3 pro; Hubsan; Xiaomi Fimi; Parrot; Autel, Autel Evo II; Skydio; DJI Phantom 4/ Phantom 4 Pro/ Phantom/ Phantom 3 Advanced; DJI Spark; Swellpro Spry+; C-fly faith 2; DJI Magic Enterprise; All EXO drones and many more. As long as the controller connects to the phone with a cable and displays the image, you are good.

We do not recommend using the DroneMask with drones that connect to the controller over WiFi due to the bad signal between the controller and the drone at that distance.

Payment, shipping and refund

What is the shipping time?

Shipping times varies between 2-5 working days wih DHL Express shipping.

With Free Global Shipping, shipping times are 12-16 working days.

There are some countries where DHL does not ship, these are Venezuela, Argentina and certain other countries in South America. Here shipping will instead take around 3-4 weeks. The exception is Brazil and Colombia, where we do not ship at all. However, we have an official reseller in Brazil: https://www.magimaskbrasil.com.br/

In addition, due to the current crisis, we are unfortunately not able to ship to Ukraine, Russia and Belarus as there are no couriers availiable that ship there for the moment.

What’s DroneMask’s return policy?

At DroneMask we operate with a 30 calendar day (from the day you received it) return policy. Please keep in mind that only items purchased directly from DroneMask can be returned. Should you want to return DroneMask merchandise not directly purchased from DroneMask, please be advised that we will not be able to process your request.

Moreover, returns that do not qualify for warranty coverage and/or lie outside the legal return period will not be processed. Please make sure that the DroneMask merchandise to be returned is packaged according to the requirements of our carrier.

Where can I try the DroneMask?

The DroneMask is available in our web store , and on Indieogo. We offer a 30 day return period for orders placed through our web store. This allows you to try the DroneMask and experience its unique features. If you don't want to keep it, you can return the DroneMask within 30 days from the day of purchase for a full refund, no strings attached. Order the DroneMask here.

What are the shipping costs?

Shipping costs for the DroneMask are included in the price. The shipping method may vary depending on your shipment address, country and region.

Does the price include VAT or other duties?

The sale includes all taxes and VAT.

The only exception for this is Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Belarus, Georgia (country), Moldova, and certain islands like the Canary Islands and Saint Martin etc..

In Norway, customers might experience getting a tax and customs claim when receiving the mask. This is a mistake by DHL and we are working toghether with them to sort it out. Please contact us immediatly if this happens so that we can contact DHL and cancel your invoice.

Can I use a P.O. box as address?

No, unfortunately our couriers require a person to receive the parcel. We therefore do not allow P.O. boxes.
